SIX FOUNDATION PRINCIPLES

BREATHING

As babies we know subconsciously how to breathe properly. But as we grow into adults our breathing patterns often become shortened and more shallow. This is mainly due to the hectic nature of our lifestyles, which often puts us into a "fight or flight" stress pattern for extended periods of time.

DIET

The principle of nutrition is more than choosing what to eat, but also about when you eat, how you eat and the practices and rituals around eating. Nutritional solutions must be tailored to your individual needs because what works for one person may not work for many others.

HYDRATION

There are 10 billion biochemical reactions per second happening in our bodies and each of them depend on water. Insufficient water intake can lead to toxicity of the body as well as constipation, tension, dryness, headaches and kidney damage.

REST

Lack of sleep not only causes changes in your brain, but can also impact your kidneys, lungs, heart and other vital organs. Some of the common systems in the body that we see negatively impacted by lack of sleep include: digestive, endocrine, central nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

EXERCISE

The principle of movement is much more than physical activity and exercise. Movement encompasses physical activity, exercise, breathing, core stability, pain assessment, posture, energy management, and diverse elements of physical fitness.

THOUGHTS

Thoughts shape our perception of the world, and they have profound influence on emotions, behaviour, and overall well-being through both internal and external factors. Orientating our thoughts from destructive limits to constructive potential activates every cell's function-producing proteins.
